Tax Lead

JOB PURPOSE

Tax Lead role will be responsible for overseeing the tax compliance process, perform tax audits, and assisting in tax planning and analysis for international operation to meet overall MAGRABi financial goals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and powerpoint.
• Able to work with multicultural teams.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in taxation field especially in Egypt CIT, preferred KSA and GCC.
• Experience in retail industry is a plus.
• Experience in ERP SAP system.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Spearhead Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Zakat inspections across multiple regions, including Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, ensuring adherence to local and international tax laws and regulations.
• Support tax advisory teams to meticulously prepare and file ZAKAT/CIT returns.
• Develop and maintain a robust tax documentation framework, encompassing CIT, ZAKAT, and withholding tax, to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Execute the preparation and submission of all local and international withholding tax returns to maintain a robust understanding of cross-border tax obligations.
• Lead diverse tax projects, such as health checks and due diligence assessments to identify potential tax exposures.
• Provide expert tax advice to internal stakeholders on a variety of tax-related issues, ensuring informed decision-making and strategic tax planning.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all tax authorities, effectively resolving tax disputes and fostering positive relationships.
• Oversee the reconciliation of all tax-related general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
• Maintain consistent communication with tax advisors across all operating countries.
• Manage customs inspections for all countries to facilitate import/export operations.
• Provide comprehensive support to financial statement auditors, supplying all necessary data and analysis to facilitate accurate and timely audits.
